Dive into the world of Playable Books!
A mindfulness, creativity, and interactive reading app for children aged 6-10. We unite reading and storytelling with tools for imagination, empathy, and independent thinking.
Unlike traditional e-books or educational games, we create what we decided to call "playable stories" where children become co-authors of their reading journey through choice-driven narratives, multimedia creation tools, and embedded mindfulness exercises.
It all began with three passionate cofounders dreaming of interactive picture books that don’t just tell a tale, but allow children to leap into an exciting journey.

Sound Masters!
Children can record their own voices, add delightful sound effects, allowing them to create catchy music and fun jingles for a personal reading experience.
Storytelling Superstars!
Children can take and upload photos to the stories.
Adding drawings to picture stories allows children to have a no-rule based creative experience while they enjoy the tale.
Imaginator’s Dream!
Pedagogically approved screen-time regulations guide children to a better schedule, allowing them to recognize their needs for off-time. We keep the imagination fresh and the creative flows uninterrupted.
Decision Makers!
Children decide the levels of engagement their stories should have, whether they would like to enjoy a voice-over narration or prefer to read the material on their own, they are in charge.
We provide ample space for autonomy. This opportunity for personal challenges encourage growth and engagement within the reading experience.

Children today grow up in complex cultural and emotional environments. Many live between languages, cultures, or even countries. Others experience displacement, trauma, or social isolation. There is an urgent need for emotionally intelligent, inclusive, and interactive digital tools that center the child’s voice. Nabu Tales answers this need.

Nabu Tales came out of our desire to give space to children’s imagination while allowing them to express their individuality.
We want to understand and support their inner needs for meaning and being understood.
We think children should have more options to spend quality time and have a positive screen experience by themselves.
The interface is designed specifically for kids to navigate easily on their own. It is a closed-circuit system and has no gamified reward mechanisms.
We are offering to solve a problem that parents and guardians are facing today which will become even more prominent in the future.
The future of technology appeals to the dual quality of invention: the creative and the reasonable, the order and the chaos, the art and the science. It appreciates the creative and diverse minds who, when together, can invent a wonderful future.
The internet is dangerous in various ways. Currently, younger generations can navigate through the web using gestures like zooming, tapping, and pinching from the age of three. We, as millenials, believe it’s time to make the screen time count…
This is urgent as time flies by, and the children of today, who are growing each day, are missing out on joining the creative community we are establishing.

We change and challenge the idea of a book and expand it to a greater perspective. The fact that we deny to call Nabu Tales an interactive e-book application is because it promises more than this.
There are countless stories and books that we can enjoy anytime but we think kids deserve a specifically curated space of their own to discover literary worlds to the depth and see literature and books in a new and more enthusiastic perspective.
Global mobility drives demand for multilingual, culturally relevant content; our Dutch/English/Turkish stories (to start with) build cultural fluency, empathy, and emotional awareness
